Versione alpha del plug-in realizzata da Giovanni Caputo per importare i propri amici su BuddyPress.
Attualmente non è prevista alcuna possibilità di poter invitare amici non ancora iscritti su Buddypress.
L’estensione, attualmente, prevede la realizzazione di un plug-in per Buddypress che permetta di invitare direttamente amici presenti nella lista dei contatti di AOL, Windows Live Messenger, Gmail, Lycos e Yahoo utilizzando un form in cui inserire mail e password.
Inoltre con questa estensione si potranno aggiungere gli amici importando il file CSV dei contatti di Microsoft Outlook Express, Thunderbird, Apple Mail o dalla lista di LinkedIn( dalla pagina Esporta la rubrica, selezionare “Microsoft Outlook (file .CSV)” e clicca su “Esporta).
Infine sarà possibile invitare/aggiungere gli amici già presenti sui più famosi social-network come facebook e twitter utilizzando le API fornite.
N.B.: Attualmente funziona solo l’import da messenger, gMail e Yahoo.

Requisiti
Il server deve permettere l’utilizzo delle funzioni CURL e fsockopen.
Installazione
Decomprimere il file nella cartella /wp-content/mu-plugins.
Dal menu di amministrazione accedere su setting/Invite Friends ed impostare l’indirizzo e-mail dal quale far inviare i messaggi di invito.
Utilizzo
Creare una nuova pagina con lo shortcode: [invitefriends] oppure dalla barra di buddypress:

Am having an issue. I think I have successfully installed the plugin and have edited its settings through the admin screens. But no matter what I do "Invite friends" does not appear in the dropdown.
What might I be missing?

same for me i have copied the plugin to mu-plugins, installed and activated it, but i don't see it anywhere in the settings or the dropdown, no error message, nothing, no sign of it – i am on WPMU 2.7 & BP RC1

if the user is not registered when being invited, can you make the script send the user to a signup page and hold the values "accept and reject" so when the registration is completed it will apply those values to the new account?
meaning, if I invite you to my blog, you will get a message asking you to accept or reject, if you click accept you will be sent to a login page, but no information on how to signup, see?

i have installed Invite Friends and i am trying to import my contact from Hotmail, it shows but there is an error,

I'm using 0.8 on bp 1.0.2 but images don't appear as in screenshots, and I don't see the field on the right where you have to type email address and password for the specified service.

I'm trying to set up a Yahoo profile… However, when I'm trying to create the application in https://developer.yahoo.com/wsregapp/ it asked my about a BBAuth Success URL, which I have not a clue about it.

Hi. I am trying to use your plugin on a social network that I created using WordPress MU 2.8.2 and BuddyPress 1.0.2 .. But I am not able to get anything working except Gmail and Twitter. I have made the Facebook application as per your guidelines, It opens the application page and displays my website in a frame there. No sign on contacts. Similarly with Yahoo. It requests me to authorize. When I sign into yahoo, accept Terms and click next. It redirects to my site's homepage and does nothing else. I get a fatal error warning if I try MSN.
Also, if I click on Invites Other Friends after importing twitter contacts, etc. It redirects to some post on my blog! why is it happening. Can you help me regarding the same?
